Our 70's show was an all-out blast! We all dressed up in 70's gear: tie-die shirts, headbands, and afro-wigs. Our bassist was the star of the night in his complete money green suit with dollar signs all over it. For the love of money, indeed!
It was the first time I got to sing "Overjoyed" by Stevie Wonder...one of my all-time favorite tunes. It's a great feeling as a vocalist to have the security of knowing that everyone behind you is more than capable of handling any song you could dream of singing. I can call out almost any song and our keyboardist can play exactly what I'm singing. The man is a human iPod.
From the precise direction that our music director Robert Sullivan gives us, to the foundation and custom "bottom" that is delivered by our drummer and bassist to the effortless execution of our keyboardist, SoundNation is an amalgam of everything old and current that's good about music.
